Five foot five out of her heeled boots, she's wiry-thin and strong, curves produced by ruthless corseting. Her hair, with the aid of chemical concoctions from the apothecary, remains dark, down to her waist when she lets it loose. Given the increasing coarseness of her hair, that's not too often. Sharp, dark-brown eyes are usually accented with heavy kohl outlines, lips painted carmine bright. There's a faded scar between her breasts, left from an accident back when she was working on her back rather than running the house. Personality: Fierce. Very practical. Gemma's determined, ruthless, very protective of her family and her girls, with her own ideas of loyalty and honor. Once her mind's made up, it's very hard to persuade her to change it. Not impossible, but you'd better be damn sure you're right. History/Family/Any Additional Information: There was, back East, a Mr. Teller. John Teller, Jax's father. He's been dead more than ten years now, shot down by bandits along the trail. Gemma simply took up the rifle from her husband's body and shot the bandits in return, with considerably more accuracy, then fed Jax, buried John, and took up the wagon reins to complete the journey John had died for. Arriving in Corvallis, she was smart enough to know that any attempt at homesteading alone would just end up with two more Teller corpses, so she took the first job she could get - at the saloon. It came with bed and board. She's been running the cathouse for five years now, and that's Gemma's home and her life. Her girls are family just as much as Jax is, and anyone who thinks that means she'll go easy on them is in for a swift shock.
